Taxonomic hierarchy linkages
-----------------------------

The ION data file contains the field higherTaxoinNameID which refers to the 
taxonConceptID field in the taxonomy file. The immediate classification term is 
then shown in the scientificName field of the Taxonomy file record.

The broader term of this classifier is found by looking up the associated 
higherTaxonNameID of the record in the scientificNameID field in the 
Taxonomy file. The broader term is shown in the scientificName field located. 
This can be repeated until the term with scientificNameID of 1 is 
encountered - this is the root term.
